Drawing comparisons with clubs similar to yours is often a good way to identify areas of improvement. With the Custom Benchmark tool, you can create a benchmark consisting of clubs handpicked by you.

This feature is sold as a stand-alone product.

Note: This feature is not yet available in all of our markets

General information about custom benchmark

The custom benchmark product unlocks three custom benchmarks for each survey mentioned in the product description.

In the example below, the custom benchmark product unlocks three unique benchmarks for your guest survey and three unique benchmarks for your member survey.

Activating custom benchmark settings

To unlock the custom benchmark feature you will have to subscribe to the custom benchmark product in your club.

Activating on the subscriptions and payment page

Clicking this link will redirect you to your subscription overview, if the link does not work, these are the instructions.

  1. Open your menu in the top-right corner

  2. Select "Account & Subscriptions"

  3. Scroll down and click on the "Subscriptions" button.

After you have arrived at the subscription overview, click the "Start subscription" button on the custom benchmark product and follow the payment steps for activating the product.

You can also activate custom benchmarks directly from the benchmark selector on your results dashboard. However, this is only visible on surveys where the custom benchmark is available.

Creating a custom benchmark

You can create a custom benchmark directly from your results dashboard or from the custom benchmark settings in your survey settings.

Creating a benchmark from your benchmark selector

Start by navigating to your results dashboard by:

  1. Opening your menu in the top-right corner

  2. Select the survey you want to create the benchmark for.

After landing on the results page, click on the benchmark selector

Click on the "Create benchmark" text on one of the custom benchmark cards.

The create custom benchmark modal will now open up. GIve your benchmark a name and start selecting the clubs you want the benchmark to consist of.

You can choose to include your own results in the benchmark, this essentially adds your own club to the selection. We know some clubs work tightly together and this feature allows each of the clubs to create a custom benchmark that is the same for each club.

Click the "Create" button when you're done and your benchmark will be created. You can now click select benchmark and use it.

Creating a benchmark from survey settings

Start by navigating to your survey settings by:

  1. Open your menu in the top-right corner

  2. Click on "Surveys" in the settings section of the menu

  3. Click on "Manage survey" for the survey you want to create a benchmark for

  4. Scroll down to the custom benchmark section of the page and click on "manage benchmark"

You have now landed on the custom benchmark page for this survey.

The create custom benchmark modal will now open up. GIve your benchmark a name and start selecting the clubs you want the benchmark to consist of.

Updating a benchmark

You can update a benchmark by navigating to the benchmark selector or the custom benchmark settings page as described in the create benchmark sections above.

Click edit on the benchmark and the custom benchmark modal will open up. Edit the name of the benchmark or add/remove clubs from the benchmark and click "Update".

Deleting a custom benchmark

You can delete a custom benchmark by opening the custom benchmark modal and clicking on the "Delete benchmark" text below the button.

Anonymity

We have removed the ranking graph on custom benchmarks to ensure that clubs can not single out results from other clubs.

Our anonymity rules dictate that a benchmark must have at least results from three clubs before it will be visible. This is also the reason why you must select a minimum of three clubs when creating a custom benchmark, as a benchmark of two clubs will never show up.
