Closing a Survey

If you want to close a survey, you can do so by generating a new link. To do this, follow these steps:

Navigating to your shareable link

  1. Click on the menu in the top-right corner

  2. Click on the menu entry called Surveys

  3. Click Manage survey for your preferred survey

  4. Under Collecting Responses, navigate Get a shareable link

  5. You are now in the Shareable link settings page

Here you can click Generate New Link, which will create a new shareable link and the old link will no longer work. This means that anyone who tries to access the survey through the old link will not be able to do so.

Expiring a Survey

If you want to expire a survey, you can also do so by generating a new link. This process is similar to closing a survey, but with one key difference.

When you generate a new link to expire a survey, the old link will still work for 7 days. This allows anyone who has the old link to still access the survey, but it will eventually expire and no longer work.

This can be useful if you want to give participants a chance to finish the survey before it expires. However, once the old link expires, the survey will no longer be accessible through that link.

IMPORTANT: Generating a new link is a permanent action that will invalidate the old links. Please ensure that you're absolutely certain before proceeding with this action. This also includes active links from a manual data collection or integration such as Tee sheet or member round.

Conclusion

Closing or expiring a survey is a simple process that can be done through the Shareable Link page. Just remember to proceed with caution and only do so if you are certain you want to close or expire the survey.
