This article will help you navigate to the option of turning-on the Prize Draw Survey template question, and then once the survey has close, how you can use the ‘Draw Winner’ feature to select a winner(s) at random.

Turning on the required question in your survey template

The Prize Draw question is available in the majority of our Member Survey, Entry Survey, and Guest survey templates and is useful if a Club wishes to offer an incentive to their Guests or Members to complete the survey.

The question is in most cases turned-off in the templates by default. So to be able to capture entries into the Prize Draw through the survey, then this question will need to be toggle-on in the template BEFORE the survey is launched.

Turning on the question:

  1. Open the menu in the top right corner by clicking the icon

  2. Select "surveys" in the menu's settings section

  3. Click on "Manage survey" for the survey you want to turn on the question.

  4. Scroll down and click "Edit questionnaire" in the ‘Questionnaire Design’ section

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and expand the section called ‘Prizes’

  6. Toggle on the question in this section which is worded ’Would you like to take part in a draw for prizes from the club?’

  7. When there is a dark blue tick next to this question, this now means that the survey question will be asked within the survey, and importantly, collect the contact information of those respondents who want to take part in the Prize Draw, but are also able to remain anonymous from the rest of the survey.

Select the random winner(s) for the Prize Draw

Start by navigating to the prize draw view:

  1. Open the menu in the top right corner by clicking the icon

  2. Select "surveys" in the menu's settings section

  3. Click on "Manage survey" for the relevant survey type you wish to select a Prize winner from

  4. Scroll down to the bottom where you will locate "Survey incentives" section, click on the "Draw winner" button.

  5. You're now on the prize draw view

This feature allows the Club to select up to 5 within a single draw from your selected time period.

Drawing a winner is done by:

  1. Click to drop down to select the number of random winners you want to draw

    (you are able to select up to 5 each draw)

  2. Select the time period you wish to randomly select winners from e.g. if you are using this for a monthly winner to a Guest survey, then select the relevant Monthly collection time period

  3. Check the draw dates are correct, then select ‘DRAW A WINNER

    You will then be prompted to copy the contact details of the randomly selected winner, so the Club can contact them directly.

Once the random winner(s) have been selected, the Club should follow the prompt and copy the contact details of the selected random winner(s) and then contact them directly through their own Club communication channels (note it is not possible to contact the winner(s) directly through the Players 1st platform)
