A guide on how to get started with our Entry survey

Experience shows that about half of all new golfers leave the sport again within the first 2 years. But fortunately, a good reception with attention to the individual member can significantly increase the proportion of new members who stay in the club.

Players 1st has developed a questionnaire aimed at new members. Experience shows that the clubs that use the survey to improve the experience for the new members also manage to hold on to far more of the new members. The new members also potentially have a new network of golfers, which they can positively influence and thus attract even more new members via positive recommendations.

There is therefore a great financial gain in working purposefully with new members' experiences and giving them a good start in the club.

What is included?

Activating this product gives you access to both the Entry Survey and Entry Dashboard.

Entry Survey

The Entry Survey consists of both locked questions and questions that you can toggle on/off. Additionally, you have the flexibility to create custom questions within the survey to capture data important to your Club.

After setting up your survey you will be able to collect responses by one of our three collection methods: manual data collection, shareable link, or automated data collection.

Entry Dashboard

As responses are gathered, you will be able to view your results in our dashboard. The dashboard turns the data points into prioritized actionable areas of improvement, that enable you to focus on what areas of your new member onboarding are lacking.

You will also be able to benchmark all of the questions in the survey, except your own questions. The standard benchmarks that are available include:

  • Same period last year (mirrors the selected period and subtracts a year)

  • National benchmark (consists of all clubs in your country)

The Survey

The Entry survey measures the initial experience of new members in the club:

  • Are they feeling welcomed and integrated into the club?

  • Do they have anyone to play with?

  • Do they expect to be a member next year and would they recommend others to join your club?
